Glock 19 Modular Holster Kit
The ShapeShift holster by Alien Gear is no mere holster - it's a complete carry system. If you carry your pistol in more than one manner, which the Glock 19 is very well suited to, then this Glock 19 carry holster system is definitely suited to your purposes.
The core of the ShapeShift is the injection-molded shells, made from a hyper-durable polymer that is nearly indestructible in the course of normal wear. There are two half-shells - left and right - and two trigger guards, one set up for standard half-shell carry and the other pre-setup for belt slide carry.
The shells - of either size - lock together without tools, using a friction-locking rail and a twist lock to close together. Once fastened, they won't come part.
Along with the shells, we also include two backing pads - one large and one small - and three different belt attachments. For use with the backing pads, lock one full shell together and one of the half shells, then use the locking rail to attach to the backer.
From there, it's up to you to choose how you wish to carry.
If a traditional Glock 19 IWB holster is to your liking, attach a full shell and half shell and mount to the larger backer. The backers are made from the same materials as our Cloak Tuck 3.0 IWB holster, so those who have carried one before will recognize it immediately. Just like the 3.0, the belt clips are fully adjustable for ride height and grip cant.
However, you can attach the same shell configuration to the smaller backer and use the larger belt clip to assemble a Glock 19 appendix carry holster, for those who prefer to carry IWB in this position.
The 19 also happens to be well suited to outside the waistband concealment, and the smaller backer can be used as a hybrid OWB by attaching the belt slide clips. This will ride high and tight to the body in utter comfort, in case you prefer a Glock 19 OWB holster that's easily concealed under an untucked shirt or light outerwear.
For open carry, woods carry or use at the range, you can also assemble both clam shells and insert the paddle attachment, giving you a Glock 19 paddle holster as well.
Besides the varied configurations, adjustable retention is also built into the ShapeShift. There are three included retention bars for use with the trigger guard shells, giving the wearer light, medium or heavy passive retention. We also include a thumb release and finger lock, which can be deployed in the paddle configuration to give you close to Level III retention.
